  12. | BEFORE YOU UPGRADE, PLEASE READ:                                           |

  14. | If you use The Graph Tracker, Version 2.5,  and you upgrade to Version 3.6 |
  15. | of  The  Mutual  Fund  Tracker,  you will need  to  download  The  Tracker |
  16. | Utilities to get The  NEW  Graph Tracker, Version 2.6.  The Graphs written |
  17. | to disk with Version 3.6 of The Mutual Fund Tracker will not be compatible |
  18. | with The OLD Graph Tracker, Version 2.5.                                   |

  22.   The faster you get your data updated, the faster you get an indication of
  23. where the markets are headed.  You reach the decision process faster, leaving
  24. you more time to consider your options.  The last thing you want to hurry, is
  25. a financial decision.

  27.   The Quote Tracker makes the data update process of The Tracker Programs
  28. automatic!  It will convert quotes downloaded from Prodigy, CompuServe,
  29. America Online, TC2000, Quote Com's Internet Quote Service, and is Stock-Watch,
  30. Pro-Util, PDL, PTT, and Quicken Quotes compatible.  If you download ASCII or
  31. TEXT formatted (readable) quotes from a source we don't support, we can write
  32. a Custom Version of The Quote Tracker for you.  The Quote Tracker is easy to
  33. use, the computer does all the work, it's that simple!
  34.  
  35.   In today's fast paced markets, you have to be on top of what's happening,
  36. and you have to beat the crowd getting there.  If you want to save valuable
  37. time updating your data, then read the  QUOTRACK.KIT  file found on your
  38. disk.  The  QUOTRACK.KIT  file may be viewed or printed with any text editor
  39. or wordprocessor.

  41.   Now, historical stock, fund, or index data can be imported into The Wall
  42. Street Tracker or The Mutual Fund Tracker.  Currently we support historical
  43. quotes gotten from FNN, Prodigy, TC2000, Quote Com's Internet Quote Service,
  44. and Quicken Quotes.  If your historical data supplier provides data in a
  45. different format, contact us so that we can develop a Historical Data Importer
  46. to work with their data format.

  51. QUICK START
  52. -----------
  53.  
  54.   If you use Windows, and decide to run The Tracker Programs from inside the
  55. Windows Program Manager, consult the Windows documentation on how to install
  56. the  PIF  and  ICO  files needed for Windows 3.0.  If you use Windows 3.1,
  57. consult the Windows documentation on how to install the  TRACKER.GRP  file.
  58. These Window support files are supplied with each program.  Please try the
  59. entire Tracker Family of Programs.
  60.  
  61.   To get started, insert The Tracker disk into your floppy drive.  If you are
  62. using Windows, MS-DOS Shell, or another type of front end menu system, consult
  63. its documentation on how to INSTALL OTHER PROGRAMS, or on how to END, QUIT,
  64. EXIT, or GO TO DOS.  After preforming the previous task, you should see the DOS
  65. prompt  C:\>  or something like our example.  Next, change to the floppy drive
  66. that contains The Tracker disk.  For example, type at the DOS prompt:  A:  and
  67. press [ENTER] to change to drive A:\.  If you have a printer, please turn it
  68. on now so that you can print some important information.  If you have The Wall
  69. Street Tracker disk in your floppy drive, type at the DOS prompt:  PRINTWST
  70. and press [ENTER].  If you have The Mutual Fund Tracker disk inserted, type:
  71. PRINTMFT  and press [ENTER].
  72.  
  73.   The documentation for each program is found in an executable program.  If
  74. you have The Wall Street Tracker disk, in your floppy drive, type at the DOS
  75. prompt:  WSTDOC  and press [ENTER].  This command allows you to read or print
  76. The Wall Street Tracker documentation.  If you have The Mutual Fund Tracker
  77. disk, in your floppy drive, type at the DOS prompt:  MFTDOC  and press [ENTER].
  78. The documentation explains in detail each function of the program and its use.
  79. We strongly recommend you review it before installing the software.  Also
  80. remember, both programs use the same user interface.  As you learn how to use
  81. one, you learn to use both.

  83.   After you have reviewed the documentation, you will need to install the
  84. software onto your computer.  To do this type:  WSTINST  for The Wall Street
  85. Tracker, or  MFTINST  for The Mutual Fund Tracker, and press [ENTER].  You will
  86. be asked a few questions and prompted to enter information that will allow the
  87. software to preform its best on your computer.
  88.  
  89.   When the installation is finished type:  WST  to run The Wall Street Tracker,
  90. or  MFT  for The Mutual Fund Tracker, and press [ENTER].  If those commands
  91. will not work type:  WALLSTRT  to run The Wall Street Tracker, or  MFTRACK
  92. for The Mutual Fund Tracker, and press [ENTER].  That should get The Tracker
  93. programs installed and running for you.  If you experience a problem, please

  97.      Check out The Tracker Utilities too!  These utilities have been bundled
  98. together and are used with The Mutual Fund Tracker, Version 3.6, and The Wall
  99. Street Tracker, Version 7.1.  This package features The Graph Tracker, The Data
  100. Shifter, The Configuration Editor, The Historical Data Importer, and The Mutual
  101. Fund Composite Average Calculator.  There is a file on The Tracker Utilities
  102. disk named  READ.ME.  Please read this file before doing anything else with
  103. The Tracker Utilities.  The  READ.ME  file may be viewed or printed with any
  104. text editor or wordprocessor.

  107.           Please don't get hung up  trying to install  and use  these
  108.           utilities right away.  Just read the  READ.ME  file so that
  109.           you will  know  what  they do.  Then  with  experience  and
  110.           need, they will become valuable tools for you to work with.

  113.   After you have reviewed the  READ.ME  file, and if you desire to, please
  114. look for the  GRAPH.EXE  archive found on The Tracker Utility disk.  It
  115. contains The Graph Tracker.  Copy the  GRAPH.EXE  archive onto a blank high
  116. density floppy disk so that you can unarchive it.  To unarchive The Graph
  117. Tracker program, type at the DOS prompt:  GRAPH  and press [ENTER].  This will
  118. unarchive a few files onto your floppy disk.  The Graph Tracker documentation
  119. is in the  GRAPHDOC.EXE  program.  We strongly recommend you review it before
  120. installing the software.
